It's over.

R and I had our divorce trial today. Everything went smoothly. There was a lot of waiting, and a not of negotation between my attorney and R's attorney. Eventually they were able to work out a settlement that we could both agree on. The settlement was read before the judge. We answered a set of standard questions from the judge.

And finally, after months of data gathering, meetings with my attorney, and R's meetings with her attorney, it's over, settled, and done with.

When I got home from work, I didn't feel like doing anything, so I took a bath, went shopping for food, and went to sleep early. Now I'm up, since I'm not tired.

It is a great thing to have a terrible thing at least go smoothly. I'm sad for all off you that things didn't work out as a so-called traditional family, but if you can stay decent to one another, you can live with it.
