....has to be the Doritos' "Crystal Ball" ad. One guy predicts good fortune and then hurls it at a vending machine. Another one predicts a promotion and hurls it at his boss, who gets it in the naughty bits. Ouch! This one made me laugh out loud.

I have mixed feelings about the ads for GoDaddy.com. Yes, I like scantily-clad women (and what straight male doesn't?), but using them to sell your product is kind of cheezy. It's like having "booth bimbos" at your trade show booth to try to attract attention to your product.

Sadly, the reason people keep using scantily clad women to sell product is because it works.

Once upon a time, I didn't mind that advertising method. Now, it just seems so unoriginal. And not only does it sell product, unfortunately, it also gets racing sponsorship. Danica Patrick hasn't had an issue with sponsorship since she arrived in the IRL 4 years ago. Sarah Fisher always had issues attracting sponsorship. And if you ask most, Sarah's at least as good a driver as Danica, but she's never had a quality ride. Life in a sales-oriented world.
