My Facebook has been down for maintenance all day....

I've not been able to log into Facebook all day today from my desktop (Ubuntu Linux running Firefox 3.6.22). The message I get is "Account Unavailable: Your account is temporarily unavailable due to site maintenance. It should be available again within a few hours. We apologize for the inconvenience." But it's been about 12 hours. I can log in from my phone, though.

Is there something more nefarious going on? Are the Powers That Be or the Facebook Police examining my account and posts for whatever reason and not telling me? Hmmmm.....

I doubt it Jim. Facebook has been doing a lot of upgrades and changes of late and I am not convinced that they have tested everything for compatibility before they implement. Lots of people are complaining about various features not working properly or disappearing completely. It doesn't surprise me that some accounts are bollixed up.

Yeah. I really have no insight into their upgrade policy. They seem to roll out changes unannounced, and probably not tested thoroughly. It would be nice if they had some sort of log where I can find out their current and proposed changes.

Anyway, my account is working again.
