This Saturday, two people from one of the clubs I'm in are getting married. In an effort to save money on printing costs, postage, etc., they (Will and Sarah) sent the invitation to the club members via email.
Will sent out the initial email invitation on Sun 7/18, with instructions to RSVP by 7/21.
My ISP's filtering software flagged it as spam, but I still got the message.
I replied on Wed 7/21. I forgot to edit out the "Spam:****" in the header.
On the morning of Mon 7/26, Will sent a follow-up note with a list of those who had RSVP'ed. Our name was not on the list.
My email software saw the Spam flag in the subject line and filed it away in the Spam folder. (No, I don't manually or automatically delete spam messages.)
I didn't see or hear about this message until this evening, when R told me about it.
I called them this evening and left them a voice mail message. I also sent them another copy of my original RSVP.
My fear is that the reservation for food has already been placed, and that we'll go hungry at the reception. Or that we'll be attending the wedding only and not stay for the reception.
I'm angry that they didn't get our RSVP, or if they did, it was ignored or filtered out.
What I want is to be able to attend the wedding and have food on our plates at the reception.
