Date: 2008-09-20 05:54 am (UTC)I found filk at my very 1st con in July, 1977. There happened to be a filk concert going on when I walked into the main programming ballroom. It included TJ Burnside, Roberta Rogow, and a few other folks who are no longer active. This was a Trek con with not late-night programming, but one of the now-former filkers called my hotel room to invite me to a room filk later that evening, and the rest is history.
